If you notice garbled characters in the name and Medicare number fields after a PVM you may have clicked Update Medilink *before* you did the actual PVM check.

We are aware of this bug starting in 2021 R1 onwards versions.

A fix will be available in mid-April 2022 R1 versions of Medilink.

If patients have already been affected you can fix them if they are Personal Accounts by going in to Edit Account and clicking OK. This propagates the firstname back down to the Patient Details area. Other Account types may require further checking of appointments etc to fix the name.
